These shots were taken in September of 2020 under complete lockdown. The streets of Montreal were silent, empty, and the last few remaining immigrant owned businesses in gentrified neighborhoods had to close down definitely due to exorbitant rent prices and “renovictions”. Most of these places are now leased to give space to overpriced local shops.
